Introducing Inferio: One API Key for Every Model You Run
Inferio is an OpenAI-compatible AI API gateway that gives you one key for Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3.1 Pro, Grok 4.7, GPT 6.1 Terra, DeepSeek and 20+ more models, plus image, video and voice. You buy simple $10 packs, track every token in a live dashboard, and never wait for a rate limit to reset. It works inside Claude Code, Cline, OpenCode and 20+ other tools. Why we built Inferio
If you use AI every day, you know this message: “You’ve reached your limit. Try again in 5 hours.”
We’re developers and designers who kept hitting it in the middle of real work. The only options were to wait, or upgrade to a much bigger plan we didn’t need. Meanwhile we were paying for separate subscriptions for coding, images and video, each with its own account, bill and limits.
So we built the tool we wanted: one key, the leading models, no waiting, and pricing that only charges for what you actually use.
What is an AI API gateway?
An AI API gateway is a single endpoint that connects you to many AI models from different providers. Instead of creating accounts with every lab and managing separate API keys, you use one key and switch models by changing a single model name in your request. Inferio is an AI API gateway built for developers, designers and power users who want the top models at a lower cost.
Which models does Inferio include?
Inferio includes 24+ models across text, image, video and audio on one key:
Category |
Models |
Text and coding |
Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3.1 Pro, Grok 4.7, GPT 6.1 Terra, DeepSeek, GLM, MiMo and more |
Image and video |
Grok Imagine image and video generation |
Audio |
Voice and speech-to-text |
One thing to be clear about: Claude models are not available on Inferio. You can still use Claude Code as your coding tool, powered by the models above.
How much does Inferio cost?
Inferio uses simple $10 packs. Each $10 pack gives you $60–$100 of model credit [confirm the exact range on the pricing page], depending on the models you use. There are no tiers and no gated models: every pack unlocks the full catalog.
- No waiting: if your balance runs out, add a pack and keep going.
- Clear validity: each pack is valid for 30 days from purchase.
- Refunds: unused paid balance is refundable within 30 days.
This is especially useful if you’re paying for AI in dollars from outside the US, or if your usage changes month to month.
Which model should I use for each task?
Not every task needs the most expensive model. Matching the model to the job is the simplest way to cut your AI bill without losing quality:
Task |
Good fit on Inferio |
Why |
Everyday coding: refactors, tests, boilerplate |
DeepSeek, GLM |
Fast and very low cost per request |
Hard bugs, architecture, long reasoning |
Kimi K3.1 Pro, Grok 4.7, GPT 6.1 Terra |
Stronger reasoning for complex work |
Quick chat, summaries, drafts |
Gemini 3.8 Flash |
Fast responses for light tasks |
Images and short videos |
Grok Imagine |
Image and video on the same key and balance |
Voiceovers and transcription |
Voice and speech-to-text |
Audio without a separate tool |
Because every model sits on the same key, you can switch per task without changing accounts or billing.
Inferio vs paying each provider directly
You can always sign up with each AI lab separately. Here’s what changes when you use one gateway instead:
|
Separate provider accounts |
Inferio |
API keys |
One per provider |
One key for every model |
Billing |
Several bills, often monthly plans |
One balance, $10 packs |
Switching models |
New account, new key, new setup |
Change the model name |
Usage tracking |
Spread across dashboards |
One live dashboard per model and key |
Image, video and voice |
Usually separate tools |
How do I use cheaper models in Claude Code?
Claude Code lets you change the API host it connects to, so you can keep the tool and change the model behind it. To use Inferio in Claude Code:
- Create an account at inferio.net and copy your API key from the dashboard.
- Set the base URL to Inferio’s host (Claude Code takes the host without/v1).
- Pick the model you want, such as DeepSeek or Kimi K3.1 Pro, and start coding.
Full, copy-paste instructions are in theClaude Code setup guide. The same key works inCline,OpenCode, Kilo Code, Roo Code, Aider, Open WebUI and SillyTavern.
Can I use the DeepSeek API, Grok API and Kimi API with one key?
Yes. Inferio gives you the DeepSeek API, Grok API, Kimi API, GPT and Gemini through one OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You don’t need separate accounts or separate billing. To switch models, change themodelvalue in your request; the key and the endpoint stay the same. You can find every model ID on themodels page.
How do I track my AI usage and spending?
The Inferio dashboard shows your tokens, requests and spend in real time, broken down by model and by API key. You can create separate keys for separate projects and see exactly what each one costs, so there are no surprise bills at the end of the month.
How is Inferio different from OpenRouter?
Both are AI API gateways with one key for many models. The differences:
|
Inferio |
OpenRouter |
Pricing |
$10 packs with $60–$100 of model credit |
Pay as you go at provider prices, plus a fee on credit purchases |
Catalog |
24+ curated models for coding, chat, image, video and voice |
500+ models |
Claude models |
Not included |
Included |
Usage tracking |
Live, per model and per key |
Usage logs and dashboard |
If you need every model including Claude, OpenRouter has the bigger catalog. If you want the models developers use most, at a lower cost, with image, video and voice on the same key, Inferio is built for that.
Who is Inferio for?
- Developers using coding agents like Claude Code, Cline and OpenCode who want lower costs and no rate-limit waiting.
- Designers and creators who want image and video generation on the same key as their text models.
- AI power users who use several models and want one account, one balance and one dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
What is Inferio? Inferio is an OpenAI-compatible AI API gateway. One API key gives you access to Gemini, Kimi, Grok, GPT, DeepSeek and 20+ more models, plus image, video and voice.
Does Inferio work with Claude Code? Yes. Point Claude Code at Inferio’s host and use models like DeepSeek, Kimi or GPT inside it. Claude models themselves are not included.
Is Inferio OpenAI-compatible? Yes. Any OpenAI SDK or OpenAI-compatible tool works by changing the base URL and using your Inferio key.
Does Inferio have rate-limit cooldowns? No usage windows or reset timers while you have balance. If you run out, add a pack and continue.
How long does a pack last? Each pack is valid for 30 days from purchase.
Can I get a refund? Unused paid balance is refundable within 30 days of purchase.
Which tools work with Inferio? Claude Code, Cline, OpenCode, Kilo Code, Roo Code, Codex CLI, Aider, Open WebUI, LibreChat, TypingMind, SillyTavern and 20+ more. Setup guides for each are in the docs.
Can I use Inferio for images and video? Yes. Grok Imagine image and video generation runs on the same key and the same balance as the text models.
